Robnick’s SCUBA Service offers a comprehensive program of PADI experiences from Discover SCUBA through Assistant Instructor.
DISCOVER SCUBA SESSIONS:
A SCUBA pool experience in the Miami University Recreational Sports Center. Students will get to dive with instructors in shallow water and learn some basic SCUBA skills and experience what it is like to breathe underwater on SCUBA.
May 25 at the Philipps Swim Club 12:00 to 4:00 PM
May 30 at Hawks Landing-11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Open Water Diver Schedule:
You’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving including how to use dive equipment, and proper scuba diving techniques and skills. The course includes 8 to 12 hours of classroom and home study, four quiz sessions and one final-exam, and 6 to 8 hours of pool training followed by four open water dives in the local area.
OW Class Schedule:
- June 5 (Four weekend pool sessions)
- July 10(Four weekend pool sessions)
- Aug 7 (Four weekend pool sessions)
- Sep 4 (Four weekend pool sessions)
Pool sessions can be scheduled to meet individual work schedule and personal committments.
Advanced Open Water Dive Class Schedule:
In a single weekend, you can earn your Advance Open Water Diver rating by completing five additional dives under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. During this experience you will gain confidence, new skills, and experience all while accompanied by a PADI professional to insure a safe and fun adventure. Many of the dives you can experience during this course count towards other specialties which you may earn as you continue to advance your diving skills.

All classes require a Deep Dive at The Gilboa Quarry.

Robnick’s SCUBA Service offers the following specialties:
Deep Diver Specialty Schedule: vice Deep Diver
Four dives to depths greater than 60 feet. This specialty is conducted at Gilboa Quarry. This class is taught during the Gilboa Quarry Dive Trips. Please check the “Travel and Dive Trips” page for the Gilboa Quarry dates.
Underwater Navigator Specialty Schedule:
This specialty requires three dives during which the student will complete a series of navigation exercises to and from underwater features and objects using a compass and underwater navigation techniques. This specialty is taught at Natural Springs Resort.

Night Diver Specialty Schedule:
This very exciting specialty gives the student an opportunity to prepare for and complete three night dives under the supervision of a PADI pro. This is one of the most exciting PADI specialties.

Dry Suit Diver Specialty Schedule:
The Dry Suit Diver specialty requires two dives and will conducted at The Gilboa Quarry.

Enriched Air Diver Specialty:
This course prepares the student dive with breathing air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Normally, two dives are required; however, there is a dive optional alternative which makes this an ideal specialty to complete during the long winter months when there is no diving in Ohio. This class can be taught on an individual basis and be combined with another specialty or the AOW class. This class is scheduled by appointment. Please call to schedule a class that meets in accordance with your personal schedule.
